SalesCart PRO is entirely built from ASP (Active Server Page) server-side scripting using VBScript as the base language. ASP scripting is much more powerful, giving users even more customizability than ever before. 

SalesCart PRO also introduces the use of Session object storage. Session object storage gives you the ability to:

• Enter shopping cart asp pages from any other web page including directly from a search engine. (The order ID is generated only upon adding the first item to the shopping cart).
• Reduce the number of non-shopping entries in the order database that may be ultimately disregarded.

SalesCart PRO uses a totally new and redesigned base architecture for the checkout pages and checkout portion of SalesCart. SalesCart 1.0 relied heavily on IDC/HTX file querying along with JavaScript client scripting. Although the basic advantage of this type of architecture is that it is very easily modified by the novice and this makes it very easy to customize, IDC/HTX is by its very nature is more difficult to work with. In addition, reliance of JavaScript on the client side inherently requires special browser support, although with modern day browsers, this for the most part is now a moot point.
