The latest version of SalesCart does not require IIS or the Personal Web Server (PWS). However, if you would like to run SalesCart on your own computer you will need to install either IIS or the Personal Web Server depending on what operating system you are running on your machine.
Note: IIS or PWS are not supported in Windows ME or XP Home edition. FrontPage or Dreamweaver will create dynamic HTML that is created at run-time. Therefore, for SalesCart to run properly, it is essential that a server be installed and configured properly.

Download Personal Web Server from the Microsoft site by clicking here.

Windows98 or Windows2000 ONLY: ASP (Active Server Pages) support via the pws. Located on Windows 98/2000 "Cd Rom drive"\add-ons\pws. You will need to patch the registry because there is a bug in the files provided by Microsoft, go here for the patch.

Windows95 ONLY: We recommend you upgrade to Windows98. However, you may patch Windows95 by installing the Latest version of the Personal Web Server (choose Windows NT Option Pack, register with Microsoft, then you will be allowed to choose, Windows Personal Web Server for Windows 95). The 4.0 Option Pack includes an option to install ASP and ADO so you can just download this option and disregard the link below.

Note: The Microsoft site will specify that these products are for NT but the current version of the Windows 95 Personal Web Server is an NT server so this is purely a naming confusion.
