This section applies when you are using an Internet Service Provider (ISP) or a Web Presence Provider (WPP). Do NOT install SalesCart on the server. Always install SalesCart on your local machine and using FrontPage, publish to your web to your server.

Most basic FrontPage Web presence providers supply the necessary requirements to run SalesCart. To be sure, review the SalesCart server requirements on page and then contact your WPP for confirmation. If your WPP does not provide the basic requirements needed, you will need to change your WPP, in which case please contact ComCity Corporation at http://www.salescart.com for more information on other ISPs that support SalesCart.

Once you have selected a WPP that provides the necessary requirements to run SalesCart, your WPP will not need additional software to make SalesCart work. However, they will need to set up the proper permissions on your files and folders. The WPP does not have to install special server extensions for you to use SalesCart. You must make edits to the local copy of your Web site on your computer, then publish up to your WPP's server. If you are using an ISP, see the Chapter on "Using an ISP,".
