business of giving your customers as many options
as you wish to support.

- Non-Linear
Price Mark-up (Surcharges)
- Apply a non-linear
percentage mark-up amount to all shipping amounts,
to cover increasing handling charges (for
instance), to carrier amounts before displaying
the rates to customers.
- This is useful where
you want a small markup for small shipping amounts
and a much larger shipping charge on big shipping
amounts.

†Note: To use Shipping
from 3rd parties, you must obtain testing and certification
and sign all applicable licenses with shipping companies to
use their products. We simply provide coding
assistance in that process. ComCity and SalesCart partner
only with the United States Postal Service (USPS)! We
are NOT partners, nor are we affiliated with any other
shipping carrier service. Our rate information is
independent of any rate system of any of these major
carriers except for the USPS. The reason we are not
partners is because these shipping carriers require contractual
licensing requirements that would dramatically limit what
you, our merchant and customer, would be able to do.
For example, to name just a few, you would not be able to
list multiple shipping rates from different carriers on the
same page for comparison and competitive purposes, and you
would not be able to modify the rates to recoup handling
costs. A majority of our customers have expressed a
desire to do just that...completely contradictory to the
shipping carriers demands.
